We had some commentary directed to us which suggested posting this information was a 'lowering of standards'. But we don't see it that way. The members of SU are very sensitive to issues involving racism and bullying in particular. 'McCranda' is to us a prime example of both of those things. The poster child for racism and the weak people who look the other way Weakness on the part of a boyfriend to stand up to someone he loves. Weakness on the part of 'supporters' to know that they have their money on the wrong team of horses.
Over the weekend we saw America at its worst at a Tea Party rally in front of the Veterans Memorial and then at the White House. Racism was on full display. Just as it was in the Big Brother House. Amanda was a key part of that woeful group, a full participant in the bigotry and prejudice. Those defects of bigotry and prejudice in our society are playing a role in far too much of our everyday lives. From politics to television shows.
They are defects which must be confronted and rejected at every turn. Some might say that supporting a racist doesn't mean you are one. But to us it says something awful about the values of those who would assist and follow such an individual. In particular to get the pair on another television show and to help increase their fame. It is a pathetic vision of the path too many Americans are now following. It is a sad reflection on our nation. So we will continue to post the supporters of McCranda.
