The entire situation involving the Ferguson Missouri Police Department and the shooting of unarmed teenager Michael Brown has been very disturbing. The situation led to unrest for many days in Ferguson and has strained tensions in the area to the breaking point.
Supposedly, the grand jury investigating the case is close to reaching a decision on whether to indict Officer Darren Wilson in the killing of young M. Brown. The entire area is on pins and needles waiting for the decision. Many wonder whether there will be more incidents of violence if the officer is not indicted. There is among the African American population of the area a deep mistrust of the authorities in particular the prosecuting attorney Robert McCulloch. Many feel that the process has been guided in the direction of a non indictment by him. That same feeling exists among others watching the case as well and feel that McCulloch should have recused himself. Not only has he never prosecuted a police officer in the killing of a black individual his own father was killed while on duty as a cop by a black perpetrator. The most reasoned individual could question McCulloch's ability to be fair and objective in this matter.
As the situation as unfolded those doubts have grown as he has repeatedly taken unusual steps with this particular grand jury for which there is no explanation. First McCulloch allowed Officer Wilson to testify which is never done. Grand juries hear evidence, not potential defendant's testimony. Then he allowed the grand jury to choose which charges they might indict for which is unheard of in legal circles. The doubts among both the local populace and case watchers are increased exponentially. Few in the Ferguson community will believe now that the process has been fair and just.
Tensions are high and many people have expressed fear as to what might occur if Wilson is not indicted. The protesters however are working hard to dispel the thoughts that there will necessarily be violence. The majority of protesters have indeed been peaceful and only the actions of a few have been violent. The Brown Family has now testified before the United Nations Commission on Torture regarding the actions of the authorities and police in this matter.

As if fears and expectations were not already greatly enhanced, enter into the picture the KKK. To be exact The Traditionist American Knights Of The Klu Klux Klan led by one Frank Ancona. This gentleman is an extremist to say the least. He is more than a few marbles short of sane.

He is falsely leading the white residents of the Saint Louis Missouri area to believe that black residents of the area are going to riot, rape and pillage. Nothing could be further from the truth. What black people want is for there to be justice for an unarmed young man who was killed by a white police officer. They have been training in the method of civil disobedience long practiced by activists on many issues. Peaceful protest is one of the rights afforded us by the Constitution. Even during the original violent episodes involving this matter the violence was carried out by only a few not the many. The many were peaceful only desiring that their voices be heard. It is also mind boggling that someone who represents a group who for a long time engaged in violence themselves criticizes others.
Lynchings, crosses burning on lawns is the history of the KKK in the South and in Missouri. In the link posted above he threatens violence against the protesters. He is a laughable caricature of a long discredited group who are nothing but terrorists themselves. They have no validity whatsoever and no one should lend credence to Mr. Ancona's words. He is disgusting and disreputable. He deserves to be posted on this blog as nothing but a bully wearing a white bed sheet like a Halloween costume of a malicious ghost. Utterly without merit.
