Colion Noir AKA Collins Idehen Jr. Refuting The Propaganda Of The NRA Young Guns Part VI

I am going to begin today with the above videos. The first is Colion Noir's video for NRA News entitled 'Shame'. The second is from a NH rally put on by Mayors Against Illegal Guns. Please listen to both. The commentary will be on the other side.

In the first video Noir/Idehen once again torpedoes his own arguments. He states that President Obama should be ashamed of himself for 'using atrocities' to promote his agenda. That is a foolish statement. It is almost always tragedies unfortunately that draw public attention to issues that require solutions.

A recent bridge collapse drew attention to the fact that America has failing infrastructure. Because it was a tragedy does that mean we should not repair bridges. Sometimes accidents with automobiles, baby carseats, cribs bring about recalls. Should we not recall those items because they were tragedies? A recent spate of teenage deaths caused by bath salts being used as a drug have brought about new laws regarding their sales. Should we not regulate their sales because it involves tragedy?

It is because of tragedies like Newtown that we need to take action on new gun regulations. The idea that you don't because you may be exploiting a tragedy is ludicrous. Tragedies are often and rightfully so catalysts for positive change.  Indeed it is Colion Noir AKA Collins Idehen Jr. who should be ashamed of promoting such foolishness.

He then states that surveys which show 90% of Americans support background checks are fallacious because of the way the questions are asked. Another falsehood not supported by any form of evidence. He then states he doesn't need a survey to prove his point-in other words he can't prove his point.

The rest of the video is Noir/Idehen's usual diatribe against new laws regarding assault weapons and gun magazines. He again offers no proof to support his statements. His final statement involves the idea that guns save lives which this blog has already shown to be inaccurate as have many others. Here are just two of the many links which debunk his statement.

Once again Noir/Idehen has offered his supporters and the followers of NRA News fairy tales which have no basis whatsoever in fact. Who is it that should be ashamed of themselves? Collins Idehen Jr. AKA Colion Noir that's who.

If anyone engages in awful behavior look at the second video. This occurred at a rally put on by Mayors Against Illegal Guns in New Hampshire. John Cantin whose daughter was murdered with a gun was treated with total disrepect by gun rights advocates. These advocates showed up in fact with the expressed intent of disrupting the rally. They had no  compassion for a man who had lost his daughter. In fact they acted like animals. They had no self-reproach and lacked in propriety as well as manners. A disgusting display of extremism. Yet it is spokespeople like Idehen Jr. who fuel that fanaticism with lies and misrepresentations.

How hollow his arguments are and how shallow a person he really is. Let's post once again.
