In this posting we will concentrate on another of the NRA 'Young Guns' Natalie Foster AKA Natalie Burkholder. The following is a video she did for NRA News.
In that video she spoke about how women involved in domestic violence were honored at the White House. She referred to them as victims and that more honor should be given to women who are gun owners and shooters who seem in her opinion to not be 'victims'. In particular she pointed out Kim Rhode who won a shooting gold medal at the 2012 Olympics and Kimberly Munley who engaged the Fort Hood shooter. Apparently she felt that they were not honored enough. Her arguments were totally off base and are without merit.
Kimberly Munley was highly honored for her courage and Kim Rhode was honored at the White House along with the other Olympic athletes. She wasn't entitled to any greater honors because she knows how to shoot. Kimberly Munley wasn't the only one who engaged the Fort Hood shooter which she did as part of her job as a member of law enforcement.
Ms. Burkholder/Forte seems to want us to glorify those who know how to use guns as seemingly being 'better' than others who don't use weapons. There are many in our society who deserve honor who do not use weaponry. Just to name a few.
1. First responders such as firefighters who go into dangerous situations every day.
2. Diplomats who seek to resolve problems through dialogue so weapons of war won't have to be used bringing death and destruction.
3. Teachers who aid students in bettering themselves through learning, creating successful individuals who can escape circumstances where guns are prevalent. (The teachers and principal from Sandy Hook are an example of courage exemplified without a gun.)
4. Medical professionals who treat the wounds caused by those firearms Ms. Burkholder/Forte seems to glorify.
Her statement that women who know how to shoot are somehow better off is also erroneous and ignores the facts which show the opposite. Women in households with guns are far more likely to die with that weapon than in households where no weapons are present. Please see the following links.

The truth is that every statistic shows that having a gun in your home, knowing how to shoot does not necessarily make you safer. Especially if you are a woman. The facts show just the opposite. That you are much more likely to be killed if guns are present.
Listening to Natalie Burkholder/Forte was like listening to a sullen, petulant child. Why is one group getting more credit than MY GROUP. Women who survive domestic violence and go on to better themselves deserve to be honored. Because they have persevered in the face of adversity. Not because they are victims.
When we polled the SU members who have daughters they all had distinct ideas of what they felt measured success. None of us chose having a gun or being able to shoot. We instead chose- 1. Having a good education. 2. Having a good career that they enjoy. 3. Owning their own business. 4. Being happy in whatever relationship they choose. 5. Doing charitable work. 6. Serving their country, state, city/town in some capacity. Weapons are not necessary to be safe either. That is a myth perpetrated by gun rights advocates and it is not borne out by statistics.
Burkholder/Forte's arguments are just as meaningless as Collins Idehen Jr's/Colion Noir's. Opinion not supported by evidence of any kind. She's too busy designing 'gun jewelry' to collect the facts. Or choosing which outfit to wear to the shooting range. Neither she nor Idehen should be taken seriously. If they are the best the NRA has to offer we can not help but laugh. Two shallow individuals without a clue of what they are talking about. There to 'window dress' the NRA's good ole boys image and nothing more.
So we will refute every video Burkholder/Forte makes along with Idehen/Noir's. We will post her supporters as well. I would think a young woman such as her could find far more fruitful endeavors to spend her life engaging in. Rather than being a tool for Wayne LaPierre and the NRA
First we will repost Burkholder/Forte's information.

Then in a break from posting her supporters we have someone else to post. A company called Zombie Industries located in Poway CA makes shooting targets. One of those targets available at the NRA Convention in Texas looks exactly like President Obama. The disrespect shone to this President is disgraceful and this company is disgusting. They should be ashamed of themselves. This is the owner of Zombie Industries.
